As a recent DNP graduate with 17 years of nursing experience in progressive care, hospice, long-term care, and medical-surgical units. I currently possess AGPCNP-BC, PCCN, ACLS, and TNCC certifications. I have been working as an Adult Geriatric Nurse Practitioner for the past year, doing home visits in various areas of TN. I have been maintaining my RN experience by continuing bedside nursing as a travel nurse.
Through my clinical experiences, I’ve developed expertise in patient counseling, treatment planning, patient care, and interdisciplinary teamwork. While completing my DNP, I was able to initiate a quality improvement plan that resulted in an 85% increase of participation in colonoscopy screening in a rural area of Alaska.
